Putting art on there. Putting Commissions on there. Putting lots of work into it. Reason: Tired of DeviantArt shenanigans. It'll be quite a process. Once it is done, you will be informed. I am also taking a class write now. And, for relaxation, Playing FF XIV and Pokemon Shield. Going to enjoy PoGo Fest this year as well. Things have been a lot less stressed lately. A few art pieces here and there as I rest. There was a comic started. Found out I didn't the story concept as much as I thought, but I learned a lot! Comic pages will be posted below.    Comic below this line.

Where have I been

Work and many things have gotten me stress. Not only that, but I've just been... sad... a lot. Like really sad. Like "what's the point of doing something" sad. I'm looking into what to do about it. My husband and my best friend has been sticking to me and trying to motivate me to do the things they know tend to make me happy. Some days are better than others. I appreciate them both, as they are my biggest support. It's been hard to dig out of that hole and put of the fake happy face at work. But the time I get home, I'm so emotionally spent I just want to sleep. Like I said, I am going to look into this and probably go see someone about it. Just getting up the courage.  Besides stress at work, I've been staying home with my puppers. A lot has happened to him in the last week. He has been diagnosed with diabetes and ruptured discs in his lower back.  He's 12 years old and a Chiweenie mix ( Chihuahua and  Dachshund). We're thinking it must have b...

Adventures in Water Color

Image
For a long time now, water colors have scared me.... a lot. A lot, a lot.Growing up, most of my painting sessions were painting ceramics with my mother at our dining room table. This meant a lot of acrylics, or sometimes playing with stain. Otherwise, not much else. The painting stopped around 9 years old, do to us losing our home and whatnot. So, painting is something I left for a long time. Recently, I tried my hand at painting ceramics and other ornaments again, and then watched a lot of different videos opening boxes and paint supplies (a lot of different videos and different people.)          So, what did I decide to do? Face those fears of water color head on and challenge myself.  Back in Mermay, I sketched this little mermaid. She was holding some sort of shining in her hands, and I thought her lovely (even without eyes).  So, taking up a canvas, I re sketched her, but with more detail. I also, off to the side, played around with...

I'm back!

Image
Even with all the craziness, I did find time for art here and there. As it started to get a little easier, I started pushing myself back into art and wanting to challenge myself. I will post another blog entry about my adventure into washi tape on another blog post. Otherwise, I tried my hand at actually finishing some of the Inktober prompts . Tried my hands at some random prompt searches/ . And even tried doing some redraws of some really old artwork (my originals and some old fanart). The Last Unicorn just made me realize just how long her neck is and how spindly her legs were. The Guardian from Big Trouble in Little China made me want to vomit as I redrew him. There is still more to post, but I wanted to share a few snippets of what I've bee working on. I am very pleased to see how far my art has come, and I hope to keep growing from here.
