Dumpling and Wolfie: Episode 31

Image
I finally finished this episode! @.@  Through the fighting of it being lost (twice). Through the fighting through my hatred of drawing hands, and having to redraw them over and over. Through my having to take a break on it before I flipped tables. It is done. Now, I can continue on, only having to draw the hand one more time (It'll be the back of it though, so not as much work.)

Correction for Draw Me As... Campaign

Can't get Etsy to do what I need it to do, so it is out for now. I do accept PayPal.

Draw Me As.... Campaign

Image
A new idea I had for a commission. This is a campaign to help me complete one goal: Get experience with drawing all sorts of creatures. This is also to help bring in some funds. (Can't just ignore that part.) To have a piece done, you can contact me through here, deviantart, my website, or etsy to order a piece and title it what you are looking for. For example, you could say "Draw me as a Turtle". Then, in the main content area, describe to me what you are looking for. Character For A Basic Lineart: $10                   For a Basic colored image: $15       For a more detailed color: $20 Backgrounds                                                              For a basic background: (no up charge)               ...

The drawing I hid (Warning: Extremely slight nudity. Just shows as the bust begins)

Image
The thumbnail you see above was a picture I did in 2007.  After I drew it, other people were the reason I hid it. From the comments I was getting back, it was something were acting like it was a terrible picture. Someone even laughed at it. So, I hid it away and didn't try my hand at a realistic drawing again for a long time. I was going through my old files looking to see what I could redraw or color. I found it in that pile. It was wrinkled and torn on the edges. Seeing it in a new light, I didn't feel so bad about it any longer. So, I decided it retrace it and color it. Just goes to show you, you shouldn't let what people say stop you from doing what you enjoy. It took me a long time to draw something like this again. I don't want anyone to take as long as I did.

Ani-May: My Day 1

Image
After talking with  Frozen-Sol  on deviant-art about trying to find out more about some monthly event like Inktober called Ani-May. It really isn't an event, but it should be! So, I'll be participating (if not late into the game). Each day, I'll try to draw an anime-style picture and upload it. I may draw more than one (if my desire to 'catch up' grows any stronger.) I'll post the first one here, but the rest can be viewed on my website or on deviantart. I may make a blog post later showing all of them at the end. So, here's the first one:

How a silly doodle turned into something

Image
A strange creature was born, from the depth of a giggle. My fiance and I have a 3D printer. We had switched to TPU and an error was occurring. Once he figured it out (he's the technical one), he started to explain it to me and draw out a diagram. Looking at it, I couldn't help but see someone in that drawing. I giggled a bit, and then took the paper when he was done explaining. This is what came out of it. We both were amused by it. In fact, he liked it so much he told me I should 3D model him. I've only begun doing that, so I know that it was take me a long, long time. That, and I didn't even know what the rest of him looked like yet. This little fellow didn't have a name even. So, I decided to pull out my sketchbook and start drawing! I loved how he developed! He looked like he was part chinchilla and something else. Kirk thought he looked like a fox when I first drew him. Whatever creature he really is, I find him amusing. But, he still didn't ...

Shout out to Youkai Yume and Design Doll

Image
http://youkaiyume.deviantart.com/ I was going through my tumblr page, when I came across a post from YoukaiYume. I've been following her since my days of Dokuga and have loved her work since. Her art put a smile on my face and kind of puts a calming effect over me, even her amazing Mad Max: Fury Road art and Clannibal work, If you have not ever seen her art, I highly recommend looking at her deviantart above. As I was saying, I saw a new post from her. She was reviewing different free art programs she has used and I noticed one that just floored me. A program that has a main model that can be easily posed, like having a realistic artist mannequin sitting out one's desk? So, I looked into it. It is exactly what I, and I'm sure many others, had been looking for. No more scouring the internet to try and find a pose close enough to what we imagined, in order to try and figure out what we want it to look like. No more trying to stare at our own hands hoping that we'...
